The Squirrels Preschool provides learning and development for children aged 2 ½ – 4 years old. We are located in the St Stephen’s area of Canterbury in a modern building with a spacious garden.

The large playroom has areas for creative play, dressing up, books and a cosy corner. Tables in the centre of the room are utilised throughout the day for organised activities and snack/lunch time. There is a large covered outdoor play area with hard surfaces perfect for riding tricycles and chalk drawing on the floor. There is a large climbing frame with slides and a playhouse, plus a large grass area to let off energy. Activities are set up daily that promote learning through play – utilising for example: the water tray, sand tray and the natural slope in the garden. 

We are a charity, run by a team of 3 trustees and 7 staff.  We have six qualified and experienced Early Years Practitioners who work in partnership with parents, to help their children learn and develop. The Squirrels Preschool is open during term time only and the majority of children join in September, with smaller numbers able to join through the year if places become available.
